United by Our Past,
Committed to Their Future.
DHSACA is a non-profit, voluntary organisation established by former students of Deder High School to strengthen the network among alumni and contribute to the educational, health, humanitarian, and charitable development of current students, our schools, and the wider community.
Our guiding principles
Every programme, decision, and volunteer hour at DHSACA traces back to these three statements.
Vision
To build a united, empowered, locally and globally connected Deder High School Alumni community that contributes to quality education, youth development, community wellbeing, and sustainable social development.
Mission
To mobilize and connect Deder High School Alumni locally and globally, and to use their collective knowledge, skills, resources, and compassion to improve access to education, empower young people, support vulnerable and high-achieving students, strengthen community health and infrastructure, and provide assistance to communities affected by emergencies and disasters.
Purpose
Established to harness the collective commitment, expertise, networks, and resources of Deder High School Alumni for educational, charitable, humanitarian, youth-development, health, and community-development purposes — and for the public benefit.
The Main Goals of DHSACA
Seven commitments that shape everything the Association does from strengthening our global network to emergency response.
-

Building and strengthening the global alumni network
Unite Deder High School alumni at both local and international levels into one connected, active community.
-
2
Improving quality and accessibility of education
Support schools, students, and teachers with resources and programmes that raise educational standards.
-
3
Strengthening youth work skills and culture
Equip young people with practical skills and nurture a culture of initiative, service, and hard work.
-
4
Supporting parentless, disabled & underprivileged students
Provide direct assistance to students in need and celebrate and encourage those who excel academically.
-
5
Enhancing community health services
Support health programmes and improve access to care in and around Deder.
-
6
Supporting infrastructure via community engagement
Gradually invest in local infrastructure with the active participation of the community.
-
7
Emergency assistance for the community
Ensure that citizens receive immediate assistance in the event of climate-change incidents, natural disasters, or man-made disasters.
Governance
The Association is governed by a General Assembly that elects a Board and appoints a Work Manager and an Accountant. Statutory meetings are convened under the rules set out in the Association's constitution. Every financial decision is approved by two officers to ensure transparency and accountability.
